Unboxing the Collectors Edition
We all know the feeling when you open a box, the excitement, the adrenalin and the relief.
Type - Talking head
Purpose - To show the content of our Collectors Edition. The goal was to make it eye catching, informative and high production quality.
My Role - I was in charge of whole process.
Approach - Started on a idea and a concept. Then find a location that would fit nicely with the theme, a bank vault. Building the set and letting Elisabeth (Community manager) just open it and give her honest reaction.
Accomplishment - We built on the theme of PAYDAY and gave the community a first hand look at the Collectors Edition. Reaching a audience of 76K on YouTube.
The collector edition of PAYDAY 3 was something special that we needed to show.
This was shot on a one take where Elisabeth unboxed it for the first time and gave her honest reaction. I’m really proud of the lighting in this production following the green and orange hue that PAYDAY3 is known for.
Being in a location were a real bank vault door was gave the video a higher production value. To capture everything we had a 3 camera setup with a main camera sight in front, a b camera on a slider at 45 degrees angle and a GoPro for a over the table shot.
